Is Mobile Marketing for You?

by Norma Jean

In our blog, Mobile Marketing Part I, we pointed out the massive emergence of mobile device usage.  This is happening on the local scene and around the world.  You can ignore it to your own peril.  Be assured many of your competitors are jumping on the mobile marketing bandwagon.

But how can you know if mobile marketing is something you should consider at this time for your business?

Are you using mobile marketing? Do you respond to mobile messages – give us your feedback and let us know. Let’s talk about it.

First of all, take a close look at the demographics of your clientele.  Who are they? What is the general age range?  How do they shop?  How secure is your relationship with them? Do they trust your level of expertise?  This information will help you to decide what steps to take next.

Consumers’ Use of Mobile Devices

How are consumers using mobile devices when it comes to purchasing? Studies have shown that many shoppers browse the Internet at home, making a list of different purchasing options.  This information is then transferred to their mobile device before they step out the door to go shopping.

Still others are in a hurry and want information immediately.  They are at a decision-making point now. All they need is the convenience, direction and the confidence to make a prompt purchase decision.  Will you be the one to fill that need? If so, your clients will be grateful, and your business will flourish.

So the bottom line is you need to look into mobile marketing and see if it is a viable strategy for you to pursue.
